With a contribution by Prof. Dr. Jörn Lamla and the Shoshana Zuboff keynote from last year's conference of the Forum Privatheit
June 11th, 2019
The latest issue of the magazine "Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte" (supplement to the weekly newspaper "Das Parlament", published by the Federal Agency for Civic Education) deals this time with urgent questions of data economics - especially with how data exploitation and data protection can be reconciled in the long term. This ultimately requires internationally coordinated steps and enlightened citizens (see editorial by Johannes Piepenbrink).
The magazine makes a valuable contribution to this educational work. It includes articles by lecturers at the annual data economics conference of the "Forum Privatheit" research association, which took place in Munich on 11-12 October 2018, for example by Prof. Dr. Jörn Lamla on "Self-determination and consumer protection in data economics". Dr. Ingrid Schneider on "Regulatory approaches in data economics" as well as the highly acclaimed conference keynote by Harvard professor emeritus Shoshana Zuboff on "Surveillance Capitalism - Surveillance Capitalism". The Data Economy edition can be downloaded or ordered free of charge from the Federal Agency for Civic Education.
